Hi, I've reach through the forums and see a number of times where you say the engine runs through 10,000 simulations per year. However, in the Sensitivity Analysis settings, there is a slider for the number of simulation iterations. Does the slider actually control the # of simulations, or are these 2 separate items?
And if it does run 10,000 per year (or the slider is set to 10,000) then each unit = .01% chance of failure, correct? (ie 100 failures = 1% failure rate, 250 failures = 2.5% rate)
Thanks!
# of iterations
Re: # of iterations
When you hit run or run all on the main window, the simulation is run with 10,000 iterations.
When you're using sensitivity analysis, each cell in the heat map represents a full run of the simulation using the number of iterations specified in the sensitivity settings window.

Yes. that's correct. Also, in the rightmost column of the detailed view tab, you can see the number of failures that occurred in each year of the plan. And if it does run 10,000 per year (or the slider is set to 10,000) then each unit = .01% chance of failure, correct?
